So what about the other 15%? Many rural areas are not able to get connected to gas mains and therefore need an alternative to gas for their heating and hot water. Another Alternative: LPG
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) boilers differ from ordinary gas boilers as they are not connected to the gas mains. The LPG is stored in special tanks and cylinders. Like all boiler types these should be serviced annually. What you should be aware of if you have an LPG boiler and appliances, it is not just the appliances that should be serviced. The hoses and pipework also need to be checked and serviced, as they use higher gas pressures.
