Meet The Waterworx Team
Meet Keith – Keith is the Founder & Managing Director of Waterworx, as well as a fully-trained gas & plumbing engineer. Keith began working for a large gas company and it was here that he was able to gain in-depth knowledge of what it meant to be a gas engineer. Keith’s position at the gas company began as customer-facing and this is where he got to understand people’s expectations from a professional service. He obtained great interpersonal, communication and management skills along the way, that would later help facilitate the start of his own business. An opportunity then arose for Keith to start a new role working at an FE college. It was here that he became a lecturer teaching the world of plumbing & heating to students. Teaching became a passion for Keith and as a consequence of this, he still likes to support the plumbing apprentices from the Cambridge Regional College. The apprentices benefit from learning ‘on-the-job’ training towards their plumbing & heating qualifications via Waterworx. Keith then met Kym, at the FE College and together they formed a vision for a customer-friendly, affordable but with high quality workmanship business plan. This would later become the sole basis for their newly-founded company. Waterworx Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd was then formed and has been successfully growing a customer-base ever since.
Meet Kym – As one of the Directors and Founders of Waterworx, Kym brings with her the extensive knowledge she gained whilst working in a supporting role for an FE College Construction Department. Waterworx came about by Keith and Kym having a vision of what they could offer people in this type of business role. Together, they wanted to ensure their newly-founded plumbing & heating company remained very customer-focused. This is where Kym started out by having a bunch of leaflets made and handed them out to potential customers. This enabled Kym to speak to people face-to-face and helped her to understand what was looked for when choosing a plumbing service. This gave them a wealth of information on how to shape the company, moving forward. Kym and Keith then joined their own skills together, as well as the information gathered from handing out leaflets to forge a business plan that had all the qualities customers wanted. Waterworx Plumbing & Heating Ltd was then formed.
Keith and Kym have met various people along the way, who share their same vision of being very customer friendly and being able to offer a quality service. Subsequently, these people have now joined the growing family of Waterworx Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd to support the expanding customer base. It really is a team effort. Please see further members of the team below:
Meet Claire – Claire is our Accounts Manager and as such is the first point of contact for any queries relating to invoices and payments. She first met Keith and Kym in 2016 when she was studying for her Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and started out working just a few hours a week dealing with admin and bookkeeping. With their support, she has been able to increase her role over time, adding more responsibilities as the business has grown. She is now an AAT qualified bookkeeper and is currently working on the final level of her qualification. Outside of work, she is a keen writer and also enjoys yoga and running. Claire is quiet but focused and very reliable!
